The Working Student Program was developed and co-founded by Intombazane and ProudAfrique Human Capital which was successfully launched in 2020. The aim of the programme was to assist disadvantaged students that were academically sound and driven to be successful in life although facing day to day hardships and challenges.
Due to the nature of the Intombazane Bursary programme only black female participants could be supported by Intombazane. However, the Working Student programme allowed for additional demographics and male applicants to qualify for HET bursaries. The programme was therefore able to further support HET bursaries to a wider demographic profile of disadvantaged youth and the annual accumulative sponsors amounted per annum were;
